Ken Horner joined the fatigue testing department in 1974 while obtaining an associate degree in electro- mechanical engineering from Cincinnati Technical College.  His primary duties at this time were performing testing in the fracture toughness and crack growth areas of the laboratory.  Over the years and due to being assigned to what is now the engineering department, his areas of responsibility expanded to include all aspects of fatigue testing.
