Ed joins Metcut with wide OEM technical and leadership experience in the aviation industry including test operations, test engineering, data systems, sensor development, and manufacturing quality.
As a Six Sigma Black Belt, Ed developed and executed a process re-engineering effort to improve test processes as measured by first time yield, data quality, and test productivity. As business and technical leader, he oversaw engineering and operations for component test (structural, acoustic, vibration, controls systems, bearings, aerodynamic, and combustors) as well as gas turbine engine test.
As advanced test technology leader, Ed developed a test technology roadmap to improve and modernize instrumentation, data systems, and test processes, and as test services business development leader he led an effort to offer OEM test services to external customers.
Ed obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering from New York University, and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University, he has completed the GE Advanced Courses in Engineering, and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
